Plain terms for a small site. This page covers the use of corecapitalinvestments.net and the terms on which we supply the compliance research brief. Our applications are separate: each is governed by the terms presented inside that app and on its own website.
The most important term on this page
Core Capital Investments is not a law firm and provides no legal advice. Nothing on this website, and nothing in any research document we supply, is legal advice, creates an attorney-client relationship, or constitutes an opinion on whether any person or business complies with any law. Our research is factual work product: what enacted statutory text says, and what a given property was observed to display on a stated date. The legal judgment is yours, and you should obtain it from qualified counsel admitted in the relevant jurisdiction.

Using this site
You are welcome to read, quote, link to and print these pages. Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, misrepresent your identity in correspondence with us, or use the contact address to send unsolicited commercial mail.
There is no account to create, no form to submit and no payment taken here. If we ever add any of those, this page changes first.
The research material
We supply the compliance brief and related research by email on request. When we do, the following applies unless we have agreed something different with you in writing:
- You may use it internally, and you may quote it. Law firms, in-house teams and journalists may rely on it for their own work and may quote or cite it with attribution to Core Capital Investments. Building your own client alert, memo or article on top of it is exactly what it is for.
- Please do not republish it whole or resell it. Redistributing the document itself as a product, or passing it off as your own research, is not permitted without our written agreement.
- It is supplied as it stands, and it is dated. Statutory positions change — sometimes within days, as the Connecticut history in the brief shows. Every edition states the date its legislative position was verified, and marks which parts were not re-verified in that refresh. Check the date before relying on it.
- It is research, not a compliance certificate. A field observation records what was displayed on the properties we examined, on the dates we examined them. It does not establish an industry-wide rate, and it is not evidence that any particular business does or does not comply.
- We may be wrong, and we would like to know. If you find an error, tell us. We record corrections in the document itself rather than amending it silently, and we will credit the correction if you would like us to.
Monitoring engagements
Recurring compliance monitoring is arranged separately, in writing, and the scope of any engagement is whatever that written agreement says. Nothing on this website is an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a commitment to take on any particular piece of work.
Our applications
Owner's Hour, PourIQ, SpeedRail, Built and Shaped are governed by their own terms and privacy policies, presented in the app and on that product's website. Nothing on this page varies them. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are also subject to those platforms' terms, and refunds for them are handled by the platform.

Owner's Hour, PourIQ, SpeedRail, Built and Shaped are trademarks of Core Capital Investments LLC; none are registered, and we claim only the rights that use confers. App Store is a trademark of Apple Inc. and Google Play is a trademark of Google LLC; we are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by either company. Statutory text quoted in our research is not ours and is in the public domain.
The fonts used on this site are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, version 1.1, and their licences are served alongside them: Source Serif 4 and IBM Plex Sans.
Links to other sites
We link to app stores, our own product sites and, in our research, to primary legislative sources. We do not control any of them and are not responsible for what they say or do. A link is not an endorsement.
No warranty, and the limit of our liability
This website and our research are provided as they stand, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We work hard to be accurate and we say plainly where we are uncertain, but we do not warrant that the material is complete, current or error-free.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Core Capital Investments LLC is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or of research supplied free of charge, and our total liability in connection with any research supplied under a paid engagement is limited to the fees paid for that engagement. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes
If these terms change in a way that matters, the date at the top changes with them. Material supplied to you before a change stays governed by the terms in force when we sent it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. This does not deprive a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of the place where they live.
